Some times events seem like miracles. Starting on the trail again feels like that to me. Here is a note about day count. I had hiked 56 days when I stopped hiking before. Rather than start again at 1 I am going to record both total days and this treks days. It will show Day 1/57 in the title for the end of the day. I will have two entries for today. One for my starting point and one for the end of the day.
I got lucky. When I left the trail this point on the trail was marked as 808.1. Somehow over the last three years it became 808.5. Lucky me. I got .4 of a mile without having to hike it. Don’t worry. I didn’t skip any trail. 😱
